I've just received an email invitation too, although not a weddings man I thought that I would hang out for a while.
I take pictures of buildings by the way :)

Hi Arca-dog.
The forum is for everybody interested in photography - not just the social side.
Post some images.

Hello Arca
Hope you don't mind me calling you by your first name :D
I am a very reluctant people photographer and, like you, I prefer static objects although not specifically architecture. I'm more comfortable with landscape or natural history type photography. As you will have gathered we are a mixed bunch here, but the great thing is we are probably all learning something new as a result of the forum discussions. It certainly works for me.
Looking forward to seeing some of your work
Dennis

Hi Dennis- Arca or Dog either suits me :)
I have a life long interest in architecture and about 5yrs ago started to venture into full time commissioned architectural photography. Now I seem to be heading more into the retail field. I have a web presence www.rauxa.co.uk which I have just downsized to a "holding page" with the intention of launching a new all singing all dancing site soon.
I really enjoy being out there at anti-social hours either in the dawn light or dusk just waiting and watching for that perfect moment to click the shutter after studying the building and composing the best shot.
Then when I get the trannies on the light box (either 5x4 or 6x9) the buzz from the saturated colour is just superb.
Unfortunately last year's business was very poor and I have gone back to part time shooting but I can also work as a driving instructor which gives me flexibility. Working on a couple of nice commissions at the moment and I intend to do more stock images this year for a commercial library.
