I guys

Hope you can help.

I've been asked to go and photograph an event this weekend. Basically I'll be walking round taking shots of kids doing various activities. There will also be people juggling, that sort of thing.

Can anyone give me some tips on avoiding blurred shots, but getting some nice sharp ones with blurred backgrounds, that kind of thing?

I'm using a Nikon D90 with a 18-200 lens

Many thanks in advance

Chris

Also closer to the camera the subject is, more out of focus the BG will be, see here:

Not necessarily ideal with candids, so use a long lens to achieve same effect.
