Placed an order for an HP B9180 with PC World Business last night as they show a 2 day delivery on their web site.
Just had a phone call from them saying no idea when they will get these in stock so order cancelled and quess who I won't be buying from when HP finally get round to supplying these.:banghead:
Why put incorrect info on your site? All it does is p**s customers off.:mad2:

personally i think its a cheap shot at getting you registered, going through payments etc, in the hope that when your told there is none at the moment, that you will just be patient. damn wrong.

Yep..I would have cancelled the order also...its false advertising as far as I am concerned..they rely on people getting their heart set on stuff and being prepared to wait.
I however always want my stuff yesterday..patience is not one of my virtues I am afraid. :)

Patience? What's that? Not one of my virtues such as they are. Actually I've been very patient waiting for this printer, HP announced it at PMA in Feb saying delvery in the autumn, it's now promised any moment. As Photokina is at the end of the month I may just wait and see what Canon or, it'll need an arm twist to buy, Epson introduce.

An update on this, I've ordered a B9180 direct from HP at £440 inc VAT & pp. A lot less than I can find anywhere else on the web. Just been e-mailed to say stock arriving on 12th; unit scheduled for dispatch on 13 or 14th arriving to me on 14 or 15th.

Anyone interested in this unit go to HP direct.

What I'm really asking is if it's arrived yet, assuming delivery was due in September?

If it has arrived what are your impressions of it re quality and running costs? The spec says it will handle B+ media...... erm what's that? I'm guessing its larger than A3+ so it could well be of interest to us.

I hate people that do this....but it's £430 quid here...

...admittedly you will have to wait a couple of weeks though.

The carrier attempted to deliver it on the 15th and 18th but as I was in hospital they sent it back to HP. It should arrive on Monday.
It is an A3+ printer but can produce panos up to 44" x 13" using paper rolls.
Once it's up and running I'll post a review.
HP do a range of larger printers called Designjet

Sure save £10 but if anything goes wrong their after sales is appaling.
I had a base unit off them not so long a go which I wanted to upgrade, un-answered e-mails, virtually imposible to talk to anyone, no thanks I'll go elsewhere in future.
That £10 is worth it to me, I had this delivery problem, rang HP and it was sorted there and then. Two workng days delivery.
No doubt in a week or two it will be even less somewhere on the web.
