Hi all...

Spoke with Dave Ashton about this on the phone and it looks like a sticky problem....

I want to get the pano I recently put up in here printed...(clicky below)

BUT... at 10" high it is 76" long and it seems this is a real problematical issue for the printers. Anything after 44" long becomes difficult to control the colour profile constistently. Dont really want to split it into sections if I can get away with it..... Then of course I need to find a framer!

Any idea's gang? :club:

Have a look for a commercial graphics printer, not a photo printer. I've had images done that make this look small by comparison through the local print shop that does things like display and advertising images (the stuff you see in shop windows, or on the sides of wagons). Biggest I've had done is 10' x 8' for a trade display for a company, and the image seemed to be fairly good in colour rendition across the board.

As for framing, it could be time to break out the mitre box and go down to the DIY shop for a load of architrave.

Thanks Nickie

Was on a small "hill of a mountain" called Crimpiau, it jst NE of Capel Curig.... from there you can see so much of both the Glyders range and the Carneddau range as well... It's a quiet walk and a favourite spot of mine of late.
