Hi There,
I currently use Fotostation 4.5 to arrange and present my portrait photos to my clients but am finding that it lowers their quality. I like Fotostation in that it allows you to tile the images and show multiple images in order for the client to choose their favourite photo. I have tried Photoshop but I can only find a way to show only 2 photos at once. Is there a way to show more than this? Or does anyone recommend another package?
Thanks for your help
I look forward to hearing from you!

I do Portraits in peoples houses and find FastStone Image Viewer a great program for viewing photos, you can tag photos while in the slide show and much more, you can also view 4 images on the screen together.
well worth a look, free download

I use the Slide Show function within Nikon's Picture Project as a simple viewing tool as you can set the show to music as well. I use this when it's a case of 'first showing' and we are sitting with a cup of tea and just looking.
To go through individual shots, the slide show in CS2's Bridge doesn't do a bad job. Select the images in Bridge, view Slide SHow and cycle through the images with the arrow keys or a mouseclick.
Tag the images, from the keyboard as and when the client goes 'Oohhh' 'Aaaah' or 'Oh that's nice'.
At the end of the show, deselect the ones they didn't like and go through them again - changing tags as the client narrows down their choice.
I use the coloured tages rather than the ratings, so I end up with their chosen images all tagged with Green (for 'it's a go!').
(But i am also downloading the Fasstone software as well - to have a look!)

I have used lots of programs to be honest, and find some are just to slow, the thing i like about faststone is you can tag your images in the slide show as you click through them, you can also show them a quick version of black and white, and levels ect.
you can also show them the crop sizes, you can add the sizes to the list also,
so if you normally only do 16x12 but the customer wants 20x16 you can add it without going in and out of different programs.
As you tag your photos you can then select ( only show tagged images) at this point i copy the images in a new folder.
And then end up with the selected images only showing.

I've downloaded it but will have a proper play with it when I'm back off holiday.
It seems to have changed all my icons to it's own ones though - god, I HATE that!

OK, got bored at work and had a play with FastStone.
Can't work out how to Tag the photos in the slideshow though - the help files are next to useless too!
For now, methinks I'll stick to Picture Project & Bridge rather than adding just another shortcut icon to the desktop.
Thanks for the heads up on it thought - it's always worth looking at new ways of doing things!

Open the program, at the top select (settings) then down to (settings) at the bottom tick the box left/right for previous next image.
then at the top click (thumbnail) go down and tick the box at the bottom that says allow image tagging and easy tag.
then you are away.
