Canon today launches the portable devices, designed with EOS and other digital photographers in mind. The Canon Media Storage M30 and Canon Media Storage M80 devices feature a large ultra-bright 3.7? TFT screen with 160º viewing angle for image and video review, and a 30Gb/80Gb hard disk to store digital images, movie and sound files of various file formats. Both units feature a USB 2.0 Hi-Speed interface and slots for CF and SD cards.

I doubt it'll be too expensive (OK define expensive) ..they are picthing up against the Flash-trax units ... I paid £500 for the 80GB unit when they first came out - could buy a laptop with DVD writer for that these days and a much bigger screen. Depends if you want to lug around a laptop or one of these devices. A laptop would be more all-round useful I think

As Mark says a laptop is more cost effective together with enough cards to cover a days shoot. Also a laptop is not so easy to loose as one of the devices.

I use the laptop for out and about - that doesnt mean I wouldnt have one though, the more stuff you buy the better you get - thats what I thought happended to be a better tog:snap2: ***sarcasm3** ... lol
