Great one. I've been needing something like this to get me to try a product shot.

Excuse my ignorance but what is a "product shot"???? Do you mean a shot with branded items in it or an advertising type of thing.

You can keep your product shots!! I have no adequate lighting so have done the best with natural light.... not up to scratch, but one for comp anyway ....

Just to clarify, does the shot have to be an indoor studio type shot or can we shoot outside with natural lighting if we want?

product shot doesn't have to be a studio shot but most will be in this weather :)

here is Steves link from above which may help http://www.google.co.uk/images?q=%22product+shot%22&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=univ&ei=EMXTTLyABom9jAfkpqnKCQ&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&ct=title&resnum=1&ved=0CDYQsAQwAA&biw=1272&bih=605

I believe the mods try to leave time to edit and post any picture taken in the month. Plus we are a global forum so you have to account for 24 hours of midnight (so to speak).

The thread is not locked till midnight on the first of the month as the rules require that image has to be taken during the month but I do now allow some time for stragglers to post their images.
