Can someone tell me if this gallery wrapped image will look silly around the frame because the subjects are all so close to the edge of the picture that the horses legs etc. won't look right when mounted?
cheers, Snaphappyshaz

its hard to visualise the finished wrap, but it will need to be very accurate in the mounting....but it looks extremely busy, and as such very confusing to the eyes

Looks a bit bizarre to me
By "gallery wrap" do you mean for a canvas type print?
Did you add the effect because the horses nose and legs were cropped too close to the edge and a wrap would lose them? (as per the attached)
I think there are better ways of doing this.
Add the wrap dimensions to the edges by expanding the original canvas size of the image and then ...painstakingly clone in a larger border (add trees, grass, horses legs etc)
...as that part will be on the "wrap" it wont be as noticable
This would make a better hanger then what you have done, IMHO
...or have I lost the plot
:crazy-1:
OK..would have been better if Vbulletin had put these on separate lines but..
OK..first one presumably is what you have to work with
Second one I added a border for the gallery wrap
Third one I painted (very quickly) some extra bushes and grass in...
not brilliant but if you take your time can be quite good
and...as its the wrap anyway...who'll notice.

Thanks for that. I gave it ago and I think it will past. So annoying as I though you could apply the wrap to any image and it would look ok. Hey ho. Many thanks again.

Mirrored canvas edges usually only works well for sceneries and landscapes or photos where the image follows on to bring the image to life, mirrored edges in these cases distract your atention and look out of place.
For this picture I think I nice light green border edges would be suitable.
Whereever you send it to print just email to find out the required size to acheive coloured edges and ask for extra care. There is no reason a good tension cannot be acheived with mm accuracy very easily!!
