Just incase anyone didn't know, a "supermoon" is almost upon us. This coming saturday on march 19th, the moon will be closer to earth than it has been for twenty years! It will appear larger and clearer that normal, so I though it would be a great opportunity for a Luna competition.
The shot dosn't have to be taken on that night (as some area's may have cloud cover) but it must be taken during the month of march. Any takers?

Considering that moonrise should be around 10AM here, maybe I'll just take you up on this.

Er..... the difference is size will be barely percebtible over normal I'm afraid an full moon is always the worst day of teh month to take any sort of Lunar shot
.... sorry
All these shots with a huge moon dominating the sky are I'm afraid photoshopped. The moon is the same size as the end of your little finger held out at arms length

However, by using the natural illusional effect of shooting the moon near the horizon, in combination with the effect of zoom magnification, no photoshopping is required.
I found an interesting article from Popular Mechanics (1981) that explains it better than I can.

Wow, no one else having a go......?
I just caught the first one as the moon was changing colour, it had a really nice straw colouration to it.....
