Felt sorry for this poor lonely thread so might as well start the ball rolling!! :) Left this shot untouched and there are plenty of things to edit in it.. So let's see what comes of it..

I had a go editing put bits of the image- its not too bad i dont think but it could be done better...
28th January 2006, 04:26 PM
Nice.. You got rid of the bag and light switch anyway.. I like the ghosting effect..
28th January 2006, 07:29 PM
i gave it a quick try!!!!!!!
29th January 2006, 01:21 PM
thanks Tim, i wasnt going to try it because im wasnt sure if i could get away with it, but hey! :D And i quite like the ghost one too, its a lovely image to work with. I thought i'd better leave the chair on the right so it would balance out the image with the other chair on the left.
Youve edited out the rug thing dash - ive only just noticed! The only thing i would say is that you can see where youve cloned it , i find the heal tool very good when editing out unwanted bits it just helps to blend it back in to the surroundings, so to speak.

Here is my attempt, changed into b/w and did some small cloning. Sorry just say the bag on the right... should have taken that out....
30th January 2006, 01:24 AM
ok tried this out with various "scripts" in paint shop pro...
30th January 2006, 01:37 AM
Boy, you are fast George..... I like it with out the big thing hanging down above them.... edit that out
30th January 2006, 01:48 PM
I like the removal of that mat Dash.. And with a bit more time, blending it better... Like the 3rd image George.. Nice border.. Wish I'd spotted that damn bag on the day.. Would save a bit of hassle! Gonna wait for a few more attempts then post the image I did for the couple...
30th January 2006, 02:48 PM
cant wait to see what yours looks like tim, i had a go at dazzling it up a bit. I love rainbows! :p
Also on the last image i know the feet r bad but i was jsut messing around! what you think?!
30th January 2006, 04:18 PM
Those last 2 are brilliant Kirsty... Very different.. Where'd you get the sky? (your own pic??) I might even show the couple one of those if it's ok with you..
30th January 2006, 04:35 PM
I like the couple walking in the clouds. Very imaginative
30th January 2006, 04:54 PM
thats ok with me tim, the sky is my own stock photo. I was havin a mess around & i prefer the b&w one- more romantic as my sister says!! ta 4 comments

31st January 2006, 01:50 AM
My effort - very tricky to work with
31st January 2006, 08:07 AM
A bit harsh for my taste martin, prefer the romantic clouds
31st January 2006, 07:28 PM
Those cloud photos are fantastic, well done Kirsty, taken a plain image and given it the wow factor.

I really like Kirsty's cloud pic, think she's got the right idea with something like this.
That burnt out background makes it virtually impossible to get an accurate image out of this. A tip for doing these shots, set the camera on manual to record the outside correctly and then set the flash on auto to the same aperture or +1EV if the church is dark without any reflective areas near by. You should get a balanced exposure.

I like the glow to that one.
Did they like the image tim?
Took out the thing aboce their heads wasnt sure what it was. Where was the location?
6th February 2006, 07:30 PM
Like what you've done with the sign Kirsty and like those colours Matt.. It was near Orleans in France.. And they loved the final pic.. Have it as a big 20x16.. Kirsty can I send them a small print of your sky shot as a present?.. I'll let them know who did it and the story..
6th February 2006, 09:58 PM
yes sure, just the plain background? bet it was a pretty settin they pay you to go out there?
7th February 2006, 07:08 PM
Cheers Kirsty.. Yeah they paid and put me up for 4 days .. I'm lucky enough to get about 4 weddings a year abroad. Last year was France, Spain, Italy and New York.. Got 2 already for December in Spain so fingers crossed I'll get some more.. :)
