Been looking around at the images wedding photographers are trying to portray and have gone for the stylish contemporary look this time. Gallery is still naff but I cant do anything about that at the moment. Anyone like to give their views on this version?

First impression is that it is quite soft and easy/appealing to the eye, and its easy to guide around- not too complicated, looks really good. :)

Nice images, but I think you've overdone the red on one or 2 shots, looks a little fake, but a nice site.

Dotty,

Do you mean the images in the gallery? If so I do have a big problem with my crappy old flat screen monitor. The colours are way off so it is really difficult, or impossible actually, to get it right. These were jpegs shot in sRGB1 on a Nikon which is supposed to give better skin tones. What it does is boost the red channel a little but I have probably fiddled around afterwards and added to this effect trying to compensate for my screen. (I now shoot RAW all the time before anyone says anything). But help is at hand - I have a new LaCie monitor on order which should be in the country in the next two weeks. It's the new 19" LCD with a 1000:1 contrast ratio so that should give me a much better image. I can't believe how much money I have spent so far but I think I'm there now, new computer, new monitor, a website, 1 x D70 with 28-200 sigma, 1 x D70 with 18-70 DX G lens, SB800 flash, SB600 flash, a monopod, tripod, 3 x 1Gb CF cards, loads of AA NiMh's, a sample wedding album....... have I forgotten anything?

Tranquilisers????
Even with a new monitor you really need to invest another £300 in a monitor profiling spyder, solves a lot of problems and is a far better investment than printer profiles. Any monitor changes quite quickly; your printer does not. Never regreted getting mine, especially as I won it! http://www.wedding-photography.org/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif http://www.wedding-photography.org/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
