Hello,

My friend owns a beautiful appartment in a small village in the north west corner of Slovenia. 4km from Italy and 5km from Austria. Venice and Salzburg are each two hours drive away.

The village of Kranjska Gora is an all year round destination ..winter sports in err winter and summer stuff in errr the other time. And of course great photography all year round :Dm

Check out the appartment at their web site ...

http://www.kranjska-gora.co.uk/

If you mention "The Photography Forum" when you book you will be entitled to a FIVE PERCENT discount on their published rates. The apartment sleeps 4 to 6.

I have just been checking out flights to Ljubijana and you could fly next April from Luton on Wizz for 1p each (plus taxes etc).

The web site has lots more information for you to peruse.

My wife and I will be going in 2007 if that's any sort of recommendation.

Cheers

Mark

It is a beautiful part of the world up there in dem mountains!

An ex-gf of mine's family owned a converted sheep shelter (now a little holiday cottage) in Trenta.

Why not grab a couple of days in Ljubljana as well - it's a lovely city down in the old part of town.

Actually, come to think of it, there is a forum member from that neck of the woods - 'oko' the tag is!

Drop him a PM

What an awesome offer! Now, I just need to convince my hubby to go!!! He has some gaming buddies somewhere "across the pond" - who knows! I might get over there someday after all!!!!
