I ordered some prints just recently - One of the cute lamb and some of a school royal wedding for the school. Ive not had my pics printed before. I had them done online through Truprint. The Lamb poster print is stoopid, poor quality and cropped (im sure its my fault) And the wedding ones are also poor quality look more like the were done with a 1m mp old camera and also cropped.

What have i done wrong:( I understand that the cropping is my fault for not checking a preview to make sure its alright... but what about the quality? Why would it be so off? I know its probly all my fault but dont know how to make it right.

So...Where do you get your photos printed? What checks do you do on the photos before you send them of ect??

Yours, miserably...

Truprint is what you done wrong. There will be standard sizes your photos need to be but truprint will crop your photos to suit their sizes

well the cropping thing is easy just ensure the ratio for the image is the same as the print IE 3x2 which is the same as 6x4.

The quality thing ???????? is is down to them and poor processing or did you submit low res images in error

I was going to say both of what as said above.

The only prints I've had done are a couple of photo books done through apple and they have been top totch

I've not had much printed myself either, but usually if the image is of poor quality/size this is usually flagged up to say your image is not optimized for printing.

Does Truprint not do this when you upload?

I've used Jessops and Snapfish to print my photos. I rate Snapfish quite highly - I love the print quality of their photos and the paper and inks used in their photobooks.

I use photobox quite a lot, happy with their print quality. My only issue with them is that on two occasions in the last 5 years of use I've received someone elses order!!
