For a company that's usually conservative with new model introductions Nikon are going potty. The D40 all for £450 got to be a bargain!!!!!!

Thanks, Tony - I didn't see that one coming! Surely, they're denying themselves sales by not selling body only - I have no need for another lens (especially a kit one), but am despeate for a 2nd camera. Might go for a D80 imported from Hong Kong - which I can get for a little more than a D40 at RRP.
Cheers Chris

As the D80, for some reason only known to Nikon, uses SD cards not CF you may be better off going for a 70S which does use CF. I can understand the the D40 and D50 using the SD but not the D80 which is an obvious backup to a D200.

Chris,
I have both a D70 body and a very little used D70s body for sale.
Both in A1 condition, the D70s is still under warranty, both come with a 512Mb Pro card and I will even sling in a brand new Nikon electronic cable release with the D70s.
All original boxes and contents.
Email me at alan@kentweddingphoto.co.uk if you are interested.

Sorry, Alan - missed this. At the moment I couldn't afford a fair price for the 70s. I let you know when that changes!
Cheers Chris.
