very nice..
gives a "all round" idea of your services...
though in the "text" I'd not say much about "negative" issues like having to edit it etc..

These are just my thoughts,
don't make any comment about blemishes No.6
packages can be tailored to your individual needs No.7
just state your experiance No.10
and i wouldn't say " for the possibility of making your memories last a life time"
try some thing like "and giving you memories to treasure for ever" the word "possibility" sounds like your not too sure of yourself.
hope this gives you food for thought, Good luck.

Just off to the dentist in a few minutes, will go thru this latter. One thing struck me, 1000-1600 images!!!!!! When I started out a wedding was covered using 3-12 exposure 120 films. You can get visual indigestion and even 300-400 on the CD could be too much. Maybe I'm out of date and these quaities are the current requirement but remember the old saying 'quality rather than quantity'.

My CDs I do for shows and company events and weddings.....
Usually 400 to 500 photos... is best..
Anymmore and they get bored seeing them...
(added.... 400 to 500 from about 1000 usually...)

My previews are around 100 - 150 shots. I agree quality not quantity.
Doing 60 weddings a year I couldnt possibly edit 1600 pictures per wedding.
I take around 200 to 250. All groups and important portraits taken twice. This is narrowed down to 100 to 150 for the final preview.

a minor point - I find the first photo quite "cheesy" ...it seems at odds with the other (great) shots.

Thank you all for the great insight. Some of what I had written I had kind of gotton from fellow photographers stuff found on the web or from other brochures that I picked up around here. Out in LA they are big with alot of images, all the photographer typically shoot 1000 or more images per wedding. They then cut down to the best of the best of those images to give to their clients. My smaller pk. they get 200 images on cd, my second pk they get 300, top pk they get 400 images to keep. From those images they then pick out the what they want for their album design. (Depending on pk, they get like 30-50 for albums) I was giving my clients 600 or 800 images on cd, wayyyyyyy to many images.
This year I will be cutting and giving only what is in their package. I dont know I have no web site and most of my clients are word of mouth I have 10 weddings booked and doing wedding photography is not my full time job. (hey you never know it could be soon) Thank you all, this helps me so much to see what others think and say about this brochure.... Great food for thought.....

I agree Martin for a wedding that sounds about right in this digital age and it's vital to duplicated portraits and groups. On very rare occoasions I've moved a head from one group to another, one not quite a good expression while all the others are but that ones OK on the other shot.....if I'd not dulicated I would have been snookered.
One thing that doing a formal wedding on 3 rolls of film taught you was to edit in camera before pressing the button, (35mm was used for candids, at the most 2 36 rolls) This digital age seems to engender shoot a lot 'cos you don't have film costs and worry about it latter. http://www.wedding-photography.org/forum/images/smilies/frown.gif This indicates, to me and maybe the punter, that if the photographer has to take 1000+ at a wedding they are not really cofident in what they are doing.

hi Mark agree it's a bit 'cheesy' but it depends where it's put in the text. One thing in both this and the other shot of a Bride their faces are obsured, I'd like to see at least one full face shot of a Bride.
Renee,
A thought are the punters really worried how many shots you have to take to give them their 300 or what ever. Think about it, when you tell them you have to shoot 1000+ to get 300 you are saying only 1 in 3 or more shots are any good! I'd say tell them what they are going to get, that's what they are interested in; how many you have to take to get that number is your business and not really of any importance to them.

Certainly a well scripted piece. However I think the use of bullet points would help. From a customer point of view, there is too much and some points need simplifying.
To the point.
I also have some literature that I will show soon, and would welcome criticism.

miles better :)
Only a bit of grammar
?Capturing? those moments for you that will last a life time!
I would loose the "for you"
I still dont like the mention of "Backup Equipment"
I look forward to Capturing Your Special Day for you, and to make your memories last a Lifetime!
Again I would loose the "for you"
To quickly view my work
And finally I would also loose the quickly
Only my thoughts.
