You probably have to use the ALTGr key rather than the ALT key, also on a laptop with a small keyboard you might have to toggle the numlock key.

If i remember rightly i think you need to have number lock on so you key in numbers on keypad but not 100% .. :)

Have tried using the ALT gr but that has had no effect not able to see a number lock as it only has the one set of numbers across the top. :banghead:

you sure some of you right hand letters on your laptop havent got numbers on them as well. Keys K I and 8 on my laptop are the start of the numpad area and i need to push FN and Numlock on laptop (FN being function key) to switch it on, which incidently stops me being able to use normal kepboard well K I * and two columns right of that.

Usually it's labelled NumLk and is often on the ScrLk key, to use the ALT <nnn> way of selecting characters you have to use the numeric keypad, not the numbers across the top of the keyboard, on a laptop if there isnit a separate numeric keypad they use the keys UIO (456), JKL (123) and 789 (789) and M for 0, but to use these rather than the letters you have to have Num Lock toggled on

Cheers
