New Locations Section

After much thought and advice i have added another new section. I know we don't want the forum to end up a huge list of sections but i think this is a great addition.

The idea is that we have a map to pin locations to. these locations can be anything (within reason). they can be photographic locations, trade show locations or just meeting places etc.

Once in the "Add Location" section you can add the image you have taken at that location. You need to add the image location address. To do this go to the image in the forum and then "Right Click" - select properties and then copy the long address starting wwww.photography-forum....... etc. Then paste this address in the "Image Location" section.

Hopefully we can build up a great list of locations for photography.

You can access the map via the navigation section on the left of the forum.

Great addition, Stemmy. Kinda what I was asking in the suggestions forum, but a hell of a lot better than what I said. Looks excellent and is easy to navigate.

Having put on a location & cocked it up - marking it as an event and not a location & putting an incorrect web link in (not bad for a computer professional eh?) I can't see how to edit an entry once made - is that possible Stemmy?

In case stemmy isnt on for another week or two as he goes missing regularly these days. :Dm

If you click on location map on the left, then click on link " list elements, it shows all the additions to map, there is an edit function next to each line at the end, hit that then u can drag ur icon about to where u want and resave.

As a mere mortal the edit function isn't available, BUT I notice that it has been edited & the submitter has changed to Stemmy so I guess Martin has fixed my faux-pas - however I also notice that Tony has done just what I did & fixed a nice green flag (event) instead of yellow (location) to his post, si I'm in good company!! Cheers
