Hi All

I am new here so if this thread has been disscussed before I'm sorry !!

Do you offer Storybooks

1: Only
2: Mixed with traditional albums
3: Traditional only

If you do who do you use for your books, do you design the pages yourself & then print inhouse etc.

I offer both but with the storybooks I design them & send them down under ( Australia ) for printing at a company called The Edge, & then Bookcrafts for the book to be finished, Around 50% of my weddings each year are having a storybook.

I have found that since offering both styles of album my profit has more then doubled , but doing 25% less weddings, but this could be that the number of bookings are falling anyway is this a fact all over.

All on his own down in Devon !!

No I am just traditional.

I have found some people get a lot of agro going to and fro withn albums from abraoad.

I do offer a reportage album but it is what you would call "Traditional" overlays design.

Ive never heard of that company you are using - are you happy with them ?

I offer both, using Spicer Hallfield albums and Graphistudio books. The cheapest book coming in at the mid-high price range of the albums.

I will set up my own page layouts if I get the time, it depends on how busy I am, although my retail prices are all based on Graphistudio doing the layout - that way I get a bigger mark up if I do it myself without putting too much pressure on my time.

The company that I use for making of the books is http;//www.bookcrafts.net (http://www.bookcrafts.net) All the albums are hand made making your design stand out from all the rest, I Have yet to find a printer that can produce prints to match THE EDGE, & then the prints are picked up by staff at BOOKCRAFTS.

I can get books cheaper from around the uk ( & I have tried most ) but the finish & quality is never there.

A lot of this comes from the price that you charge for the product, If you feel that your photgraphy & professional service are top noch then your finished album or book should also match this, along with the price, but this can only be as high as your own area will allow.

I charge £2,000 for the photography on the day & a book of 14x11 with around 80 photos in, The price being the top for this area but I knoe that in other area's the price can be higher or lower, how are prices in your areas.
