that Bindii and Mr TV David should have had lunch in but it was unfortunately a bit off their route.
Any one in the UK midlands interested in old pubs that sell real beers this is the Manor Arms, Daw (pronounced Doe, don't ask why) End, Rushall. It's the pub without a bar, drinks are served on the service area on the left with the bottle on and on the small area under the £1 sign.
Togs meet here on a Wednesday evening.
PS those ham rolls are to kill for, lashings of butter (sod the colesterol for one night), thick slices cut off the bone, real mustard and locally baked bread, yummy.

What a wonderful looking place Tony
As a tea totaller - (I hate tea) - this looks my type of venue - especially somewhere that does butter rolls (with bread and ham.)
You seriously a T.O.G. ??

We'll teach you the first two and if your really bad buy you drinks to stop you doing the third. Oh yes the tables are very substantial so they'd take your light weight.

I can play poker, so prolly can learn the crib and dommies stuff (whatever those may be, i'm from Georgia so am ignorent)
This is my kinda place to hang out:beer: ...small, homey, warm where everyone knows each other and will prop ya up if ya have a few too many.:swoon: Maybe one day on my next trip over your way, I'll stop in. Oh yeah, i do like to eat good "pub fare"!!

Hi Karey,
rules & history for both games here
http://www.tradgames.org.uk/games/Cribbage.htm
and here
http://www.tradgames.org.uk/games/Dominoes.htm
one of the best pb games, unfortunately not played round here, is Aunt Sally and nine pin bowls aka skittles (the proper one:Dm :Dm) are also featured on this site. Sadly many of the modern pubs aimed at the under 30 lager drinkers don't cater for these games. Real pubs are disappearing fast and it's a real shame.

That is a real shame cause it sounds like such a nice way to spend time w/ friends and aquaintances. I enjoyed your series of pix on the inside of the pub and will read up on the games. Maybe I'll learn them before i head that way one day!! I'll fit in then...well except for my "suthern drawl", which y'all would just love anyway!!:tease:
Thanx for the links!!! What a teacher you are, not just photography!!!

They do Bank's Original Mild, it's not the real old very dark brown, almost black, mild I remember my g-dad drinking.
The Manor always has at least 3 guest beers, last week 2 were from Jennings, very nice.

It is a great way to spend an evening, a log fire, good food and drink and good company, what more can you ask for???
I'm sure we'd understand and love your southern drawl, one of the reasons I'm definitely going to get skype this weekend, I very much doubt you'd understand some of the real broad midland accents. Even we locals struggle at times :Dm :Dm
