A very quick set of three to show the effect 35mm-70mm Nikkor @ 70mm and focused on the 7 distance reading .7m on a tripod.
Even allowing for compression etc you can see what happens.
The images have not been sharpened, only had the WB set and D max and min set using the curves eyedropper.
