I want one too....but when I worked out the currency exchange I would be paying nearly $50 aussie dollars for a cup (thats adding postage)...so I shall have to continue drinking my tea out of a styrofoam cup me thinks....*sob*

Why? :blum2::blum2:A quickie using the Leica D2 @ 28mm with the builtin bounced flash, f8, ISO100, cam on top of the base unit with 10 sec delay. I think a lot of soft focus would be more appropriate. :tease::tease:

Just leave one in the sink for a day or two and it'll go sticky, just how sticky depends upon what you put in it. There are no instructions supplied with them.

Flattery will get you everywhere.
It was a quick snapshot.
Stood camera on top of my printer set on P. with 10 sec interval timer and flash reduction - one stop.
Pressed button and sat in my chair with mug in hand.
Had to take it twice because I sat in wrong chair first time.
It's OK everybody I'm quite happy to take your comments as well as give them. **sarcasm2**
I've run out of mug jokes for the time being.
Kind regards to all and yes my tea does have a better taste now.
Maybe we should have tankards next time.
Cheers
Jim

Hi Barry

You know what its like you come home from work and great you have post. That was the good news then when I opened it I heard that sound that no one wants to hear. Oh well what does not break us makes us stronger. Maybe I should not use the break.

BarryM
8th February 2007, 07:01 PM
my most treasured mug was a rangers mug my wee boy got me with pocket money for my christmas, handle snapped, but i still use it, cant bin it, it breaks my heart thinking about it, and il swear the coffee tastes better with no handle ( i know i know ??? ) :Dm

f1nut0
8th February 2007, 08:05 PM
Tony I hear what you are saying but I did want to use the mug and I just would not trust the handle it was in four bits.

Barry I also hear what you are saying I have a mug that I would not throw out as It was my late fathers. It was one of the last things I gave him. It was fathers day a few days before he passed away. And that was one of the first things that I made sure I had when things were sorted out. Heck even typing this out brings a tear to my eyes and thats the truth.

Oh and another thing Tony in my last job we kept our mugs hanging on the wall by the lunch room. So as you can guess my Ferrari mugs had a shelf life of just a few months. When I had new one I would always make sure that I had a spare at home .

BarryM
8th February 2007, 08:13 PM
aww mate, sorry to hear that. :(

Understand what your saying Peter, four breaks is a few too many. I thought it was just the two.
Ferrari mugs... are they for quick drinkers? hopefully you'll need a new one to put the champers in at the end of the season.

Strange how you keep things, I hate coarse fishing but my dad was fanatical and I've still got all his rods etc. Would not part with them even tho some are quite valuable and I'll never use them.

Just to let everyone know.

Some of the mugs had started to peel. This was due to a fault in the mug manufacture. This has now been sorted and everybody who ordered a mug should be getting another replacement very soon. If you dont get one plese post here.

Sorry for the mix up.

MsHey
6th March 2007, 11:57 PM

lostmysnorkel
7th March 2007, 01:16 AM
Well, my two haven't peeled, but the handle has fallen off one! Rather the mug bit fell of the handle as I was lifting it from the dishwasher.

Mind you, it had been nuked in the microwave a few times so my own fault for not checking it's Micro & Dishwasher proof!

MARTIN: I'm not fishing for a freebie, just warning others about the microwave, I still have a 'working' mug, it just means that IO can't offer guests a drink in one!

tonymidd
7th March 2007, 11:51 AM
Replacements arrived this morning, unasked for(good english?)

Got a surprise package today - A replacement mug. Thanks Martin - I can't beleive there are many places where this would happen - a fault is found on some items and the whole batch gets replaced without us even asking for it, never mind without a quibble.
Hats off to you.
