Have a look in here if you are prepared to go for re-conditioned models. I bought an A4 printer for my granddaughter and it was as good as new. The Canon Pixma range should suit you

WHY do you want to print CDs, I sell DVD and CDs on my site and simply print labels "Fellowes" and stick them on the CDs, MUCH better quality that way ANY printer will do

Cause after some research the labels bend the disc after time and render it useless.

What you are probably asking is - Does anyone on the forum use or have experience with one?
I would print the discs, but only print the actual text part. I would purchase blank CD's in professionally printed with your company wrap on and leave a plain white box for the details to go (or the "Fellows" label in other instances).

I may look at that option

A stuck on label isn't better quality, and for those that didn't know can damage a decent dvd player. I had a dvd player a few years back that cost me £400. It started developing problems to the point it would randomly play/not play dvd's, after a tonne of research it turned out it was because I had played dvd's in it that had labels stuck to them.

Thanks Jim that was also an issue but I have seen peeling an warped discs as well. So printing on the disc seemed the best option for me at the minute

No worries. I never had a problem playing dvds with printed labels in cheap players, but more expensive quality players are more sensitive.

printing onto the disk is deffo better these days. The drives can spin up so fast now out of balance ones are well noisy and can be unreadable.

I haven't owned a DVD player for about 3 years so wouldn't know

Same. I have a couple for the kids but don't get used, and I have a blueray player in my media centre, but that's it.

I have thought about USB drives perhaps with your company details on, but these aren't as obvious towards what the content is, and some would argue that they're not sufficiently protected etc. You could have a case for it though.

Exspense is then the issue with usb drives altho a good idea.

You can probably get 20 or 30 blank discs for that price. I agree it's a nice idea though, and deffo one that I think we may see in the future.

Digital (with backup) is the way forward :)
Do you actually provide a brand new Apple iPad?

If the client is paying tens or hundreds of pounds, a £3 flash drive isn't going to hurt too much. I would be looking for reliability, whichever media is best.

Yeah a new iPad.
I was looking more for promotional cd rather than giving to the customer. But will do both in the end
