I bought a Kodak ESP5210 All In One printer/scanner/copier, because a TV advert for Kodak printers stated their print head wouldn't clog up if not used for long time. So far, about a year, it appears to be true. I hardly use it, but all the colours still print.
The only niggle I have is lack of a colour correction utility for it. The printed output isn't that bad, but not an exact match. Maybe I need to adjust my monitor, but I print so little, it's hardly worth it.
For me, it's there in case I need it, it still works, so I don't have to buy another, which was the case with many other makes before.

Didn't Kodak go bust ?

No they filed for bankruptcy protection and were given time to restructure and sort themselves out :)

A calibrated monitor is not just for printing. If your monitor is not calibrated, you cannot comment on other people's photographs because you're not seeing the same image as they are.

The differance in colour rendering is not that great, viewed independantly, both screen or print look absolutely fine.
It's just not 100%, I'm okay with 95-99%.
For me to comment on another's picture, my screen is perfectly adequate. IMHO
Just don't lert me pick paint colours for your bedroom!

I use an Epson DX4000. Now. Works ok for me. I did previously have Lexmark. But they only lasted 5minutes . I thought their reliability was useless.

I think you've missed my point, if your monitor is not calibrated the image you see may be totally different to the original.

Hope you are as happy with it as I am with my DX4000. So far it has been brilliant, no problems with it at all.

I have a Kodak all in one wireless printer in work - I went with that because of the extortionate cost of inks on other printers. When I had a HP printer it was costing me £75 for colour and black cartridges! I also have an Epsom and find that good. The best printer I had quality wise was a samsung laser printer - it was so fast, but then had a problem jamming and saying their were paper jams when there werent! When I googled it it looked like a common problem.

We went to PC world to have a look at printers although I have saved £30 by ordering the Epson from Amazon. The sales assistant told me they have more Kodak printer returns than anything else..:thumbs-down:
