Here (https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop_lightroom&loc=en_uk)is the link

It is well worth getting, but then I am biased as I have been using ver 1 for a few months now being on Adobes insider testers group.

Been playing with it all evening. It's not intuitive (to me!). Crashed when I tried to import 14,000 photos.

One thing bugging me: in the library, how to I view just the photos in a folder without showing the photos in the sub-folders beneath it?

I am afraid you can't. The only way would be to filter your results say by extension or flagged files or coloured files.

Thanks, EH - that's barking. LR has crashed on me 3 times now trying to import photos!!! After everything I've read I would have thought that it was capable of importing 14000 photos. I need to work out how to filter results by file ext.

Cheers

Chris

It's not really barking, it doesn't know what folders you want to look in so it shows you everything that is contained in it. Then when you select the next folder it will show what is in that folder and not what was in the previous folder. You can search for any text on the left hand side. There is a window above the folders that has the search field in.

I have been trialing LR since B3 and this latest version for a couple of months and have not had any problems, although I have not imported 14000 images in in one go. Depending on your import settings it may take some time to import them as it is assigning metadata to the files that it can and writing xmp files for those that it can't add to the originals.

I would try just importing say 1000 and get used to how it works then add the rest.
