can you explain how to place a photo in my profile, ken and Julian carn't remember... something to do with Abatar they said. I have a flower there at the moment and dont know how that happened. I have spent a few hrs trying:banghead: Lyn

Hi Lyn,

Go to User CP in the top menu of the forum, then on the left under the heading Settings & Options click Edit Avatar. Here you have 2 options, you can either link from a file that's online or you can upload one from your own computer.

Make sure your image is no larger than 150 x 150 pixels. If it is stored online, enter the full url (http://www.example.com/example.jpg) into the top box and click Save Changes.

Or if you want to upload one from your computer then again make sure it's 150 x150 pixels or smaller, then click on the browse button at the right of the bottom box, use the panel that pops up to navigate your system and select the file that you wish to upload once you highlight the image click on open, the panel will disappear and the extension for the file will appear in the bottom box, then all you have to do is click on Save Changes and your new avatar will be there for all to see.

also make sure its under 19kb im sure it is, this is usually the bit that causes the greiff, sometimes i save as 18 and it uploads as 26 for some reason so knock filesize right down
