I posted this in the mono section with the best conversion I could manage. I am on asteep learning curve with conversions so any help with conversion would be appreciated.

Perhaps it's the method you've shrunk the image,
it's quite pixelated...
Email me the ful size image and i'll resize it...
Here's a quick example, to darken it,
but it's made it a little arty...

My effort
In the colour original first darken the sky and the base of the image after checking the max black with the eyedropper.
Used Virtual Photographer to do the conversion,using the aged tone
Finally added some uniform noise to get a bit of grain and a film feel.

Thanks Tony. Using your link I got Virtual Photographer, but as I'm still trying to learn how to use Photoshop, I havn't got round to working it out yet!
