Hi everyone - am I the first Aussie member? I was actually born in Wales but have spent 45 of my 65 years in Melbourne. I've been interested in photography for ever - started with a box Brownie, progressed through various 35mm models (I still have a couple of Nikons) and bought my first digital camera about 18 months ago. I recently bought a Nikon D50 which I'm very pleased with. I must confess my use of film has fallen markedly! I'm gradually learning Photoshop Elements and find the digital manipulation as fascinating as shooting pictures. I did budget wedding photography for a number of years but have given it away - the stress levels can be enormous and I take my hat off to those who do it. I'm hoping to learn from others to improve my photography skills - it's a life-long learning process, but the pleasure when someone compliments you on a picture is priceless!
