Yes it would be lovely. Its easy to get caught up and be busy and not make time for people. I really enjoyed it yesterday.

Where is central? Always a prob. Bradford is, I think, as far from you Dotty as it is from Baz north of the Forth.
One answer is to go down the e-photozine route and have regional meetings. It's been suggested before with small response.

I can probably do a martin area with plenty of notice, (im scared of driving and getting lost down in your country full of motorways) if that helps. 15 quid a night for a travelodge bed is good agian with plenty notice to save. But i really want to meet you all, some are due a handshake and some due a kick in the mummydaddys (george) :Dm

I think a meet is a great idea, unfortunatly Dottys right and Bradford is too far for me down in Devon. Birmingham is 3 hours away. Don't take this the wrong way guys but a 5'ish hour drive just for a 'meet' is a little too far IMO...

and i drive a 300+ bhp Subaru Impreza STI that does about 2 miles to the gallon! i'd need to remortgage lol... I could drive the wifes merc but she refuses to drive the Subaru so she'd be stuck without a car (no public transport in the countryside)

I'd do a regional meet though :)

If we include Scotland (but why should we)
central would be round Martin's way I guess...

hmmm and yes if you include Cornwall
and Devon.... We're pushing to find somwhere..

The answer has to be the e-photozine way. Someone finds something in their area of interest, posts it and sees if there's any interest.

Here's a starter, April 21st at Silverstone, the VSCC opener. I shall be going to this event. It's one I try not to miss. You can get on the pit wall and also stroll around the pits, a very relaxed day out. A much nicer way to spend a Saturday than shooting a wedding, make this one your april day off :clapping::clapping:
You don't need a particularly long lens, 200mm is more than enough, if fact off the pit wall it's too much.

and some of my shots from last year here...

If you live in Inverness the border with England is a long way (250 miles) and you'd be just over half way to Rhyl (450 miles total journey) but why does anyone want to go to Rhyl? Tis worse than Blackpool.
