If so,

How the f@ck do you get it to download your emails?

I've managed to get it synched with the PC, i've even got the Sat Nav to work properly, emails from Outlook TRFR back and forth quite happily, but getting the damn thing to check my mail while I'm out n about just ain't happening!

Also, given I have tried several times to set up the email accounts, is there anyway I can delete accounts from the list?

Hope someone out there can help.

Thanks

I don't know if this helps but had to do a search on it and that has a lot of stuff on it. It seems to look at act like a computer so I would say you can delete an account.

I had the same problem with my new pearl.

turned out that it was because I had outlook open at the same time.

if you have outlook open it robs the messages from your mail box before they can be pushed to your mobile etc.

Close down outlook first. - it usually takes push about 15mins to check your mailbox for the first time. if it finds a message then it checks every 2 mins after that.

I hope this is your problem.

Thanks Earl, I managed to find that same review this afternoon, and no, it doesn't really helkp me I'm afraid. Mine is the later version of the one reviewed, and yes, it is basically a Pocket Computer with a mobile phone built-in. Unfortunately, I can't find the button to delete any of the email accounts and I can't find it when looking from the desktop either!

STEMMY:

I don't have a problem when the Vario is connected to the pC - I use the PC Outlook to check my mail which is also copied/synchronised with the Vario.

I am supposed to be able to log in to my email direct from the handset, ie not tetheresd to the PC, using the GPRS or Internet capability of the handset - but so far - NADA!

Maybe a pricey call to the helpline is due tomorrow.

Thanks for trying anyway guys!

Now, let's set the SatNav to tell me a new way to go home!
