Certainly good news.
...a sneaking feeling though.....sounds a little like the bouyant statements made by failing companies just before they go bust..... or am I just an old cynic :icon_nono

It was a news release from a film manufacturer.
Looks like small format has now gone almost all electronic. I'd be stuck if I couldn't get E6 film stock for my principal medium & large format work as the digital backs are too expensive. I can see these films becoming more specialist with the corresponding hike upwards in price.
Most pro-labs tell me that their E6 processing lines have never been busier but that might be because there's fewer of them at it nowadays.

Fewer users and even fewer processors. I can see may be a nich fine art market for mono but the way large colour sensors are coming down in cost I think the days of colour neg are certainly numbered and E6 can't be far behind. Even mono has a limited life with the new papers and printers. :stir:
Fuji's statement sounds just like the ones Kodak put out just before they pulled the mono plug and did Nikon not make similar noises when the F6 was announced? Yes Dennis, we maybe cynical old codgers but have we not seen it all before?
