Stock Images

I have a friend who has set up a business specialising in very large wall paper based images, we are jointly producing some shots at 7metres x 2.5metres shortly for an industrial client.

He is constantly being asked for stock wallpaper designs... brickwork, beaches and trees and so on.

I was wondering whether anyone here would be interested in placing (obviously high resolution) images in a proposed new library

What sort of resolution is he looking for?

What got me thinking along these lines were the really good images in last month's trees competition, some were just the thing that Jamie's prospective clients seem to like and he wants to keep in an on-line gallery, most probably on a rights managed basis.

Obviously he needs 300dpi but as big as you can, I mainly shoot large trannies (6x9cm or 5x4ins) so I can scan to whatever the required size is, but I would imagine my 6MPixel S2 at the highest settings will be okay (it is for picture libraries, 30MB files) I'm going to give it a try.
