Nero Burning

Is anyone using Nero 7 to made dvd slide shows from their images .. in order to play them back on the TV ... cos i have a couple of simple Questions...


1) what format does the music need to be in before its loaded into the nero slide show

2) what size are the images 10x8 AT 72DPI ???


cos i can build the show but it gets all jerky on the telly when i try to convince the pretty Mrs Worthington that i know what i am doing :exit:

I use a different method mate, but images for slideshow (thanks to Martin) wre made like forum ones for best quality 800x600 at 72dpi, usually the music (in the program i use) is an mp3 and i assume it does its own converting.

Yup, I gave up on Nero after a few attempts!

Now use ProShow Gold, which converts audio to MP3 I think!

Hi,

I have to say that I use Nero all the time - but not for slide shows. Use other software but I have had a problem with DVD players.

I send/sell movie DVD all over the world with no problems but DVD slide shows are different.

Some players require each image to be less than 1/2 MB (or less) or they will "stutter" in playback. I got this info from one of the DVD (players) makers as I had started to have problems with a brand new player.

All my sound files are in Window's .wav format and all played ok. This was direct from cd onto the sound track of the DVD (stereo or mono)

I use proshow gold david and I add in mp3's it works a treat.

Now it took a while to get the hang of it though. Normally I batch resize my output folder of jpegs to 6x4 size and the fit the screen for slideshows pretty well.

Thanks for you input and time everyone...... i got Nero cos i had it in version 5 and when i tried to get it back again everything was leading me to get 7 - the latest version cos it was flaunting the ability to make presentations at me....... i can make the show easy enough... in fact very easy.... the darn thing just wont play on the telly without locking up for about 4 seconds every now and then .... the forum george directed me to was real good ... its probably just me who is not savvy enough to suss out whatever wee wrinkle it needs to make it all work !!!

i did think of that but need to go and try it now on me laptop.. watch this space !!


right... tried it in my laptop.. but exactly the same result -- freezes for about 4 secs and then carries on.

files are less than 800pxls at 10x8 72dpi and music is mp3 and dvd disc is new Verbatim !!
