    Last one for me, ive been wanting to take similar shots over in Edinburgh of some of the statues and monuments, but was never sure of angle etc as loads of biuldings in background, thanks for the heads up here.

    I'm glad you asked me that cos having tried so many different adjustments I couldn't remember which one this was

    So I tried it again :Dm

    A bit of a cheat really I used virtual photographer and applied a 'Dramatic' filter which basically gave me the 2nd pic. Then I faded that effect in ps to bring back a little colour.

    I just replicated it using ps only by applying a Red Filter, flattening the image, converting to b&w using channel mixer and fading the channel mixer.
