seconded :P I remember on the trip when I took this photo, the weather was getting worse and we had decided to go back to the car, but my brother had'nt been up cadair idris before... so he convinced my dad to go up a hill with him before going back down.... half an hour later everyone else saw them at the top and he still beat me in the race back down the mountain

Those photos are great Crimmy i'm surprised you're not 100% happy with them

Can boost the contrast in photoshop for sure, but it's been said that it's basically the light's fault, not much you can do when it's grey like that.
See if you can stay longer and wait till the sun's a little lower, get some of that golden light, assuming the sun comes through the clouds at all that is...
