Studio lighting help!

I had my lights perfect but one of the children knocked into them and now I can't get them exact and its driving me mad.

I had my interfit lights attached either side on my background support frame, they are attached to heavy duty clips, I have no room for stands either side.

They worked well until they were moved abit but now my shots are not as well lit.

My floor looks darker than usual too, the shadows are very dark. I use a white paper background and I can usually get it well lit.

Should I have the 2 background heads pointing directly at the background or towards the floor? I can't get it how I had it before.

Can you show us a 'before' and 'after' pic?

One that shows as much of the background as possible so we get an idea of where the light falls?

I took the last one of my daughter today when she was walking around my studio, looks bloody awful!

Hi Jemmy, now lets see! to start with the lights on the background are pointing in the wrong direction they should be facing towards the baclground so that the amount of spill on the subject is kept to a minimum. also you have the wrong reflectors on the heads as the sort in your image cause hotspots, change them over to soft boxes.

Take the lights off of the background support system and move them at least three feet from the background if need be ceiling mount them or on wall booms.

You will never get a complete white background and the remaining shadows are fixable in a jiffy using a levels/layer mask.

Hi Jemmy...my advice...do give Brian a call.....but...when you do...ask him to speak slowly to give you time to write it all down.....lol...or...book onto the workshop in April..!
