whats the sony A200 like???

iam new to photograpy but have been playing around with a point and snap camera and now iam thinking about buying the sony A200, i would be very greatfull if anyone could give me and advice on what it is like.

you seem to get an awful lot for your money, there was quite a long discussion on this recently
http://www.photography-forum.org/showthread.php?t=23694, I use sony and like it but to be honest at the starting level sony/nikon/canon/et al are all pretty similar, see which ones feel right in your hands and which layout of controls suit you.

I have one and love it.
The only downside I have is the number of lenses on the market.

Sony are starting to come out with some and you can buy Sigma and other 3rd party lenses but second hand ones are very hard to find.

theres loads of 2nd hand konika minolta lenses (that also fit sony alphas)! in fact I've got some to sell!
