Sorry, new here and didn't realise there was a lighting forum, just posted this in general.

I am about to buy some lighting and not sure what to get, soft box or direct lighting. I am going to be photographing artists paintings for websites and also whilest the doing some portraits of the artist. Any advice on what type to get.
