    Welcome to the forum.
The perfect photograph has never been captured but I will chase this elusive dream even if it takes me 1/60 sec.

Let me welcome you from one newbie to another! In response to an earlier post, i would also recommend the Nikon D60, it is very user friendly and is my first DSLR also.

    Hi welcome,
Don't get a d40 unless you really have too, it's not a very good camera, save up for something else.
good photos, however watch out for chopping off the horse tails!

good luck, i'll sell you a nice d300 if you want lol
