    pinting question..

I have been asked to photo friends children with view to printing them as large as..(that was the brief..would imagine A3).
What are the pre and post shot pros and cons?

not sure what pros and cons you're talking about,

but the main thing I know is to set the DPI high in post production - most printers ask for 300dpi.

you need to be in 300dpi, and look what colour space you need to be in too, if your printing yourself check the printer, if doing online check you have the printer profile they give, or follow there instructions, its suprising how great images can print wrong due to wrong profile selected, as an example , some sytems are set to rgb, but newer are srgb or cymk, hope that helps

sRGB will be more than likely for both fine arts and digital printing. Maybe shoot in RAW then convert afterwards..
