It happens all the time with me Steve but not sure what causes it, especially if i pull the little slider back to re-play it, but once i've let one track play all the way through then it works fine, its weird ?????? are you recording tracks, lol.
The main causes what I could think of, is if your line is jammed up (if you are downloading something else at the same time), or the computer running out of memory/continuous drive access. The last bit could be caused by real-time file scanning, as when you stream a video to the computer it caches it temporarily to a folder on the hard drive, and if something is taking preference...
Also, on low memory systems, the memory may be swapping (writing to hard drive and back again) to increase performance.
They are the only things that I know of that will slow a streamed video down.
Solutions are, you could try suspending real-time virus scanning through AVG, making sure you aren't pulling anything else down in the background, and you could try it through HTML5 http://www.youtube.com/html5
Other than that, the only thing I could say would be to upgrade the Flash player on your computer if it's not the latest.
I get it quite a bit, even though my line is a fairly big one, because it's running through a multiplexed line (basically, one line piggy-backs on the other), and if the other users on the line are using the line for something, then it can choke the multiplexing switches (but unless you live in god's bottom, the chances are the line is multiplexed is very slim).
