    Posting images and Copyright

We get a few new members who may be unaware of the copyright laws, or are used to ignoring them.

    The position is this:

If you wish to post images, they must be taken by yourself (which means you automatically have copyright) or you MUST have permission from the person that took the images in order to post them.
If say they are taken by your partner then them allowing you to post them is them giving you permission.

You CANNOT find images on the internet and copy them and post them UNLESS the source site has stated they are open licence or copyright waived etc.

Taking images from other people’s sites, be it professional websites, flickr, is copyright infringement (stealing), and is an offence.

The forum strives to protect all it’s members from copyright theft, and to ensure that no copyrighted material is knowingly stored on it’s pages.

If you really want to show someone’s work as an example to an effect you would like to recreate then the method is to link offsite to the home of said images.
Members unable to link yet need to be patient and not download copyrighted images and attach.

    Thanks.
