Sorry to hear your not well, hope things get sorted soon.
Have you ever worked out how many hours a day you spend seated? In front of the computer, driving, eating or watching TV; it really does add up.
At present I'm sitting with an elevated and very swollen, painfull right leg which is due to either a DVT or a Baker's cyst. I spent last evening in hospital having blood tests and anti-clotting injections with a return trip tonight and a scan tomorrow to find out which of the above is causing my problem. The consultant was not the least surprised when he found out what I did for a living, apparently DVT's are now more common in the 30-40 age group who conform to the above sitting pattern than from long haul flights. I'm banned by the consultant from walking any distance or driving untill the problem is sorted.
We all know the need to give our eyes a break from the monitor but remember to have a walk round the office every half hour or so, better save than sorry as the result of not doing this can be very painfull as I can testify.

Sorry to hear of your problem Tony. Hope you get better real soon. Thanks for the warning. I have had vague knee and back pains for a while now and also spend FAR too much time sitting at the computer. Will now do something about it.![]()

Hi Tony
Hope that the problem with your leg gets sorted out very soon
Come on the spring & summer, then we can all get out & take some photo's ( run around like headless chickens aswell ) which will be good for your leg, as this time of the year we seem to become![]()
All the best

All the best Tony, I hope you are feeling better soon.
If your Doc giives you light exercise to recuperate, you're mor than welcome to come round and walk my daughter up and down for a bit - I've discovered that up and down the stairs works well to settle her!
Sending you healing thoughts in the meantime
Get well soon Tony, All the Best.
I have often wondered if it was possible to get DVT from driving long distance etc ... now I know so will need to be careful.
