I reckon that would be a starting price of £12,000 as a minimum, the old one, the IF-ED was about 7 grand new and that's 25 years ago, so this one will have the fancy stuff in there, like VR and what-a-not, be a limited production run (over three to five years), probably be built to order and three month wait as well.

the Canon 800mm 5.6 is between £9500 and £12000 so you gotta add on another grand at least for Nikon.
