The restriction regarding outings have been relaxed a tad down here so I took advantage of the situation and made a trip to Jawbone flora and fauna reserve. Unfortunately there was not much variety of bird life on the day, but I was so happy to get back behind the camera that it didn't bother me too much.

One of the seagulls putting on a bit of a show.

Great set John, love the cormorant shot with that green eye and well defined feathers which can be hard to get with them being so dark.

Thank you for the kind words @RyanB. I'm loving the Siggy 150-600, it gives such great detail, very little PP was needed for these images and I'm very happy with the Cormorant shot. As you stated, great detail in the feathers and that green eye looks awesome.

Good series I lkie especially the second shot of seagull, with the eye peeking out of the wing feathers, and also the cormorant. didn't know that in Australia there is the European coot, it has been imported, I guess.

Well done! Great set. You've come out of hibernation well  Not that I'm a birder, but where is Jawbone flaura and fauna reserve grumpy? Seeing seagulls, I'm guessing somewhere near Geelong, or maybe not

Thanks for the kind words @Taboo. Not quite Geelong, but on the way, for me at least. If you click on the blue text you will see more info about Jawbone. If you want to see more from Jawbone click here, join the conversation if you wish :)
