Fungi hunting starts once more, and the annual Fabulous fun with Fungi competition is again upon us. So, search out some fungi, and post your images into this thread.

RULES.
1. PLEASE READ THE RULES, ESPECIALLY RULE 2 & RULE 7
2. Picture must be of Fungi taken this year 2018 (EXIF required to confirm this)
3. Open to all forum members
4. Closes midnight Saturday 1st December 2018
5. In situ or cultivated are allowed (for those with a lack of fungi in their locality :).)
6. Maximum entries per member three images
7. Please keep the images unique to the challenge, you are free to use them anywhere after the results are posted.

Please upload the image directly to the forum not link from a hosting site. Thank You
- It is more difficult to sort the entries with linked images - thanks for your help.
Linked images will be deleted

Post your submissions here and when the competition closes there will be a poll to pick the members favourites

Good luck and may the best fungi stalker win

Another one from Loch Rannoch last week..

I can't see the exif on here but it's fully listed on Flickr if you click in the image. Dunno why it disappears for me when I host from Flickr, so I have C+P'd it from there. Hope that's ok.

Taken on October 3, 2018, Canon EOS 5DS R, YN50mm, 1.4, ƒ/2.0, 50.0mm, 1/250, 100, Flash (off, did not fire).

This one will be discussed amongst the staff at this point. Rules is rules, but we are open to at least a little interpretation within reason. We'll get back to in a bit.

Ah, ok I'll try linking straight from my PC to see if that retains the info. Cheers, might have helped if I'd read the rules properly. My bad:D. I've deleted the image for now.

Right, here's another upload effort. Looks like the relevant data is intact (I think:)).

There seem to be two other attachments in your post, I take it the full size is your entry?
Yes it is. I tried a couple of other uploads to see what looked best but I can't seem to delete the 'Attached Files' bit at the bottom of the post. Can you please do that for me. Ta!!

Don't forget these fungi this weekend everyone :) Mind you, I haven't seen a single one in the south east here yet at locations where I have before, perhaps its this unseasonal warm weather we are having.....

Here's my "contribution", Birch Polypores photographed at Healey Dell a couple of weeks ago.

One more from me taken a couple of days ago. I chose to take this one exactly as found rather than tidying up around the fungus before taking the photo, hence the twigs around the stem.

That really is an impressive image Hawthorn. I think it would be well worth seeing some more of your work.
