You know that feeling when you've been out searching for an engaging composition in spectacular autumn colours before they're blown away and end up liking the pictures you were just mucking about more than the serious 'this could be a front cover' pictures.
The conditions were disgusting this morning but thought there was an opportunity for something. The autumn colour is rather good up here this year but with stormy conditions it wont last long. I was anxious to make the most of it before it disappears. ICM is something I like to do now and then when there's nowt else doing. It's rare I ever show them but I quite like all three of these from this morning.
I may get the first printed large bright and bold as an abstract for the new house.
Shutter speed 0.5 sec if I remember correctly.

ICM can be a bit marmite for me but I quite like these, they are like a paint palette of autumn colours and tones. I think #1 would be my pick as well.

It's the last one that grabs me Scott.

I am blown away by the colours this year but mainly because I'm travelling and not used to it. There are very few deciduous Woodlands on the Isle of Wight and those there are are small so it's a relatively new experience for me. I still haven't managed to make anything much of it though. No mist to simplify the chaos.

Beautiful shots, I think the first just edges out the other two for me.

First for me, too, Scott. Shows off the autumn colours and has a great feel of the stormy weather about it, as well.
