I am looking for user opinion of the Affinity Photo Workbook. It is on special at the moment, 30% off. I have an Affinity tutorial as a pdf and there is an online help site and an online Affinity forum which are all good but sometimes it is hard to beat a hard cover instruction manual.

Hi, I bought Affinity Photo to replace my Adobe CS6 and to be honest I think that the PDF (have that also) and so many tutorials on the likes of Youtube and Affinity site is enough to cope with. So what happens when/if you buy the hardback and like for example Lightroom books (Lightroom, L/R 2, L/R3, 4,5,6) Affinity Photo release the next upgrade/update then the next and then? part of your hardback book is no use.

Hi, To be honest due to the lack of options for 3rd party plug-ins and more important to the lack of an option to create Camera profiles with the ColorChecker Passport especially after they offered AP as a bundle in conjunction with X-Rite a while ago and when asked about profiles and colour correction back on the June 6th 2016 this is the reply https://forum.affinity.serif.com/in...rchecker-passport/&tab=comments#comment-97047. There are other requests on the forum for the 3rd party plug-ins but they seem more interested in there Ipad software. I have had On1 software for some time but as they updated the software my computer down dated and could not run it but after an updated computer I am useing On1 rather than Affinity. On1 has attempted to offer camera profiles but not user made so I keep hold of Lightroom for that option. Is Affinity near a match for Photoshop? IMO. NO!!, they have a long way to go, not even an option like Adobe Bridge included. Russ.
