ANNOUNCEMENT: We have relaxed the no links post count rule to 5 posts

Rain maker
After some deliberation out back, we have decided to make the posting of links a little more relaxed.

We have changed the number of posts required to use links from 50 posts to 5 posts.

This is to stop genuine members having to hammer out a load of posts before they can post images that are linked.
We still feel that, and prefer, the best way to post images is to attach. One of the reasons for this is because several active members cannot physically see linked images in threads, and therefore are unable to comment on them.

We have made this change to make it easier to share images, and helpful links.

It is not a relaxation on spam postings. I have already banned a member who has not posted since 2008 and by some unknown psychic power discovered they could post links, and have posted a link to their own site, with the thinly veiled premise they 'found' the site and it might be useful. (Really? Guess what. Seen that before...)
We, the moderation staff will endeavour to keep this forum as free of spam and abuse as ever, in order to keep our corner of the internet the pleasant hang out we feel it is.

We hope the change will be embraced by the genuine members and we will be vigilant as ever for the abusers. It is also a nice feeling to the staff to know that spam is reported quickly by the members, and it is very appreciated and helps a lot.

If you got this far, thanks for reading! And we hope you enjoy your forum.

Nice move :) there are a lot of genuine members who want to link in early posts - like Parajack today trying to show us the cam he is thinking of buying. Well done forum ;)
