Good set of images here ... looks pretty quiet for that village, have been in the past where you have to walk in the road as the pavement it packed.
Me and Mrs Rebel will be down there next week, hope it's this quiet.

Nice set and interesting vistas. I used to go there quite frequently as I didn’t live too far away.

My wife and I spent a year in the UK ,1990 visited a lot of places around the Cottswalds . May be Oxer was closer to Bottleigh, we lived in Hedge End . From memory Oxer was a village where a horse market was held every year ,

There's a gypsy horse fair held annually at Stow on the Wold (or Stow for short) which is about 5 miles from Bourton on the Water - maybe this is the Oxer?

Your right ,a very pretty place. The horse market, the vendors were athletic as the horses ,running them down the main street.

In my case ignorance. I dont know if there was a beer tent but these blokes looked as if they could sink a few pints , In 1990 no digital camera . There was a place in Southampton where for a small charge you could use dark room facilities . I still have a lot of B/w negs , must get them out .
Have not seen ''Snatch''. One experience I did have with Gypsy's was on the ferry from Split to Vela Luca ,young girls tried to break into my car.

Watch Snatch it's funny, it's a comedy film by Guy Ritchie (Madonna's Ex.) with Brad Pitt etc. etc. but does show what the Pikey's are like
