Cheers Steve, it isn't a stack, more of a panorama. In the original shot I had clipped the very tip of its wing when framing it but I had another shot with the wing fully in but the eyes oof so I snipped off the bit of wing I needed and added it to this shot then created a little space to the left by cloning the blade of grass. Sneaky and a bit slapdash but I thought it looked ok. :)

Well done blending the shots, Ryan. There is no obvious seam anywhere.

Thanks Roger, there are a couple little points you can see but you would need to really pixel peek to notice.

Great photo, is the yellow teardrop thing, just below the wing, a wing balancer?
Thanks Pete, as I understand it those yellow organs (halteres) function like a vibrating gyroscope providing orientation information to the fly allowing for accurate and smooth flight.
